The Spring/Summer 2015 collection by Sergio Rossi is an aesthetic reflection on Beauty, understood as a set of simple and immediate expressions which reveal, on closer vision, infinite details.
Angelo Ruggeri, Collections and Design Director, seizes the purely feminine essence of it, exalting a natural attitude and discreet elegance, made up of daily rituals and details of style, and reveals the most seductive side through the union of two primary elements: shape and colour.
As in a work by Matisse, creativity finds body in the most skilful technique, it benefits from the culture of craftsmanship and constant stylistic research, which has always distinguished the world of Sergio Rossi.
From the essential lines which curve sinuously to exalt the silhouette of the foot, outlining an iconic cut and paste pump, made exclusive by the choice of precious watersnake and the combination of intense shades, such as blue and optical white.
Or they are transformed into a continuous line of black gros-grain, which frames coloured suede, offering a new three-dimensionality to traditional gladiator sandals, or they are transformed into the perfect curve of the symbol of the infinite on refined sandal boots in karung or laminated napa.
The evening dresses up in crystal and glitter or is embellished by embroidery with gems, made unique by the vibrant combinations of contrasting colours of blue/emerald or red/orange.
The creative flair pushes on beyond its own boundaries and takes advantage of the superior craftsmanship in the Fireworks sandal, where in a masterly architectonic game, the heel, upper and sole merge, recreating an opaque effect, made even more graphic by the inlays of multicoloured suede.
Beauty, pure and surprising, is thus revealed between shape and colour in the Spring/Summer 2015 collection by Sergio Rossi.
