“A stroll through the heat of summer”. Roger Vivier’s 2015 Spring-Summer collection puts shade in step with light. In gentle foreign climes the fierce fire of the sun calls for a search of cool covered ways. Airy passages and their contrasting light inspire this season’s accessories.
Sandals and court shoes are sharpened like the sun’s precious rays. The Pilgrim line is shown in a sexy daytime sandal whose leather buckle rests like a shadow on the skin. The iconic Miss Viv’ bag evolves into a larger, rectangular, more urban model. With its extravagant and luxurious heritage, the emblematic Mask collection stands like a totem on breathtakingly high heels.
A sexy collection. Roger Vivier’s iconic Parisian look becomes increasingly sophisticated with acutely streamlined ranges. Uppers are slimmer, heels are narrower, like the Pilgrim sandal which is given a Privilège heel to become Pilgrim Sexy, or Choc heel, becoming Sexy Choc. A new model, Ondulation, draws sensual curves over the foot. Stiletto-Sphère accentuates its low cut with embellished heels of pearl, like a gem, in honour of a new name, Miss Pearl.
Handbags use the House’s iconic codes. Miss Viv’ streamlines its Fifties style architecture to offer, beside its new larger rectangular model, both a tote bag and Envelope format. Geometric cut-outs, again inspired by plays on shade and light, are in opposition to luxurious textures, such as natural straw. Prismick comes in a large shopping bag size and adopts luxurious informality with the new Prismick Foulard. Ultra-supple, the leather creases sensually due to its masterful open-work stitching.
What’s new with the emblematic Buckle? Nonchalant, its logo status amuses it. On the Gommette pumps, a light, universal word reinvents the icon: a heart and LOVE, are printed asymmetrically. Just as much fun, a series of polka dots adapts this variation in a multi-coloured look.
Super luxury, the evening collection celebrates all the virtuosity of Roger Vivier with abundance and light: the Boite de Nuit clutch in Rhodoid and transparent, colorful Plexiglas, reminds us of diving masks, pixel-printed python and artistic sequinned layering – Bruno Frisoni intoxicates our senses with his exquisite frivolity.
With her Parisian soul and her cosmopolitan, light and aesthetic style, the Vivier woman is the sensual, mischievous emblem of her time!
