MM6 was launched in 1997 and now counts over 10 stand-alone stores worldwide. Today marks the opening of a new store, the first MM6 store in Hong Kong.
The new MM6 design concept revolves around black and white film, playing with photo negatives.
The materials used refer to silver film, transparency, temporality, footprints of time.
The white chalk is reinvented in silver, adorning the store’s dress facades.
The entrance stands out with its wall of brush bristles extending up to the ceiling.
Misty silver concrete and parquet line the floor.
Matt white walls are broken up by wooden panels and scraps of silver wallpaper, playing with the idea of vanishing.
Silkscreen printed glass subdivides spaces by playing with transparency.
Mesh industrial aluminum grills create depth on the ceiling.
Accessories are presented in large white enameled metal boxes. Clothing racks are made of galvanized steel.
The entire store plays with the unexpected, different levels of silver effect, traces of time and translucency.
