Autumn Winter 2015 sees the Jimmy Choo man retreating to his country home for the weekend. He embraces a modern day Lord of the Manor bringing an urban edge of rebellion to establishment classics. His style becomes a hybrid of authentic British formalwear effortlessly merged with silhouettes borrowed from outdoor pursuits and gentlemen’s sports.
“With this collection, I fused urban and rural style together to imagine what the Jimmy Choo man would wear in the country. The combination of traditional style with touches of individualism and an urban edge gives a uniquely contemporary twist.” Sandra Choi, Creative Director
Heritage fabrics in tartan tweed, herringbone, velvet and jacquard are rendered in a contemporary treatment, printed on leather, shot with fluoro and emblazoned across track shoes and sneakers. Textiles and hues are rich and inspired by Mitford-esque interiors and the romantic backdrop of the English countryside. Merlot, teal and moss green are juxtaposed with brighter pops of Capri blue and marine. Tartans are layered with vintage embroidered floral tapestry work, velvet is pinpricked with subtle glitter dots and Jimmy Choo’s signature suggestive camouflage print is re-worked in muted metallics bringing an element of rock n’ roll to pre-dinner drinks in the drawing room.
The monk strap is celebrated for Autumn Winter, lending artisan detail to the ARTHUR and ANDREW exaggerated brogue designs in single and double interpretations. Innovation is seen with the introduction of new styles drawing inspiration from a gentleman’s boxing boot presented in the BOXER and BRADLEY, featuring a slim trainer sole with buckled boot details creating a modern and daring silhouette. Shearling lining adds warmth and detail to the STOCKLEY mucker inspired outdoor boot for stylish stomping across rugged moorland.
SLOANE and FOXLEY are perfectly at home adapting to their rural environment with tailored touches of tartan, jacquard and velvet with signature Jimmy Choo surprises of glitter and leopard print. Trainers featuring a pixelated image of a classical botanical painting with overlays of tartan are piqued with fluoro hues for a dash of rebellious attitude.
Drawing inspiration from a classic doctor’s bag, the HAMLET weekender is introduced in a tartan printed pony. A statement document case is animated with mink fur in contrasting shades of black and marine.
