MATCHESFASHION.COM announces the re-launch of its womenswear collection and the launch of its menswear collection, RAEY, which will be available exclusively online and in-store from the end January 2015.
Womenswear: Designed by an in-house team led by Creative Director Rachael Proud, the collection is rooted to a modern, minimalist aesthetic. ‘The collection has taken on a stronger more masculine silhouette which is easy and effortless. Starting with essential foundation pieces and layering on versatile tailoring and outerwear we are offering contemporary pieces that are versatile and timeless.’ Rachael Proud, Creative Director.
The collection comprises luxurious, pared-down staples in a classic palette of white, navy and grey, highlighted with vibrant accents of lemon and pink. Elevated essential pieces include a versatile white jumpsuit, timeless navy trench coat and covetable lightweight utility dress available in navy or white in a silk/linen mix. The luxe feel is continued throughout with a cashmere tracksuit with oversized kangaroo pocket sweat and a skinny pant, bright cashmere knitwear and a slouchy cashmere blanket coat.
Menswear: Designed by an in-house team led by Creative Director Rachael Proud, the collection is rooted in menswear classics.
A slouchy, athletic attitude dominates this season’s offering, which is rendered in a palette of navy, yellow, ivory and grey. Cashmere is used across sweats, knitwear, and in an oversized, soft-shouldered coat. Elsewhere, outerwear includes abbreviated hooded macs in bonded silk and linen, and a biker jacket in suede, cut longer on the body for a leaner fit. Shirts are elongated past the hips, or come in a loose, boxy, short-sleeved fit. Trousers are gently oversized, and jeans are frayed and rolled at the hems. The minimal, utilitarian feel of the collection is offset by the addition of pinstripe, and a tie-dye used across sweats and t-shirts.
